We Persist

Exceptional Career & Technical Education (CTE) Programs

Essential Careers for an Empowered Future

Our programs prepare students for jobs in non-traditional careers by providing an opportunity to pursue an empowered future through exceptional education and preparation to excel in high-demand essential careers. South Texas College offers students a fast and clear pathway that can lead to economic independence.

Great careers are not limited to one particular gender. Non-Traditional careers are occupations of which individuals from one gender comprise less than 25% of the workforce. Deciding to pursue a non-traditional career can offer unique advantages to students. Many current students and alumni are a testament to the vast opportunities provided by jobs in non-traditional careers.

Our exceptional staff and faculty are skilled with years of industry experience. Students learn through hands-on training and practicums in preparation to connect and succeed in the workplace. Instruction also includes navigating the workplace, writing resumes and preparing for interviews. Internships provide an opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals before graduating.

Providing Academic Support to Students (PASS)

The PASS Program provides support services to Career & Technical Education students to assist them in completing their educational goals by offering assistance to priority registration, books, childcare, and many other services.
